I finally got it in to the doc. They plugged it in and reset it on the computer and now it seems good to go.

    Stress Testing Saws

    I second this. I run 0* top plate, 0.045 rakers, 45* hook. It’ll load a 2100 right up with a 30” Cut and it’ll self feed.

Stump Shot review's The Duke's new 2100CD piston

So did I read earlier in this thread that you make Piston AND cylinder kits? Does this mean there’s a chance of a 2100 cylinder in the works? Because that would be the coolest thing in saws in a long long time, not that a high quality replacement piston isn’t super awesome too, cuz it is! Lol

Meh. I runs spot on once it’s warm. Maybe the frost coming out of the metal screws with it. I’m quite sure it’ll be an intermittent thing they won’t find at the dealership. If I pull it out of my truck into the cold air it starts and runs like a warm day. If it’s outside and cold when I start it...

Mines an XPG too, even with the heat turned on it does this. Falls on its face if it isn’t given time to warm up slowly. It’s like the AT can’t make up its mind and goes crazy blubbering fat and won’t recover unless you let it sit on high idle for a minute. It just doesn’t not like short run...

So, I’m finding these things are like a Diesel engine. They don’t like frequent start stops, they’d way rather start, warm up, run flawlessly until out of fuel and repeat. If you kick the high idle off in low temps before the engine is warm you’ll get some real lack lustre results. But give it...

    1st saw

yeah he did the same. He’d pull the band out so it looked proper but wasn’t there. He hated the brake too.

    1st saw

My first saw was my dad’s last pro saw: his 2100XP.

Cats eye on the face side. No point in dragging it in to the landing just to cut it off there and deal with it again. We are treating this just like a thinning so the stumps won’t be pulled and will be left to rot. Plus I’ve had a couple really blow up on me with rot that low. Getting in the...

    Digitron tachs

I used a four window digitron for years on a mod sled. They are a decent gauge with good customer support. Or they did have 15 years ago. Lol. I also used the avenger three window gauge, it was a lot more robust and stood up on the sled quite a bit better, but they were very big

I’m actually running 100LL. That’s probably it though, I haven’t bought gas in two months and this is the last can out of that barrel. Can’t hurt to throw a plug at it and filter though too. Actually I really should pay the whole works some attention. I’m five chains in already. Lost fuel count...
