Look at the one bulletin, and see if they give you the correct coil. Put up your unit's serial numbers too.

Here is a bulletin that may be useful...

Take a quick look and rotate the flywheel to tdc, then see where the magnets are in relation to the coil. I did have one new block that the keyway and crank position were way off.

Did you just test for spark?

What is wrong with the original kill wire?

The date of your trimmer should be on the sticker, if that is still legible.

Take off the muffler, then try it. Take a look at the piston while it is off as well. The exhaust port may be carboned over.

fs55 and hs45, looks like... Show the numbers by the inlet nipple for part numbers.

Here is a request from another forum...

Forget the coil, take your carb apart. It sounds like a loose welch plug.

How old was the fuel? What does the piston look like? Go by and take some pics.

On the mixture screw position, the one farthers from the engine is the high speed screw.
