I have a basket case BR600 that just quit on me after 8 years of well-cared for residential use. Curious what happened to yours as I need to dig into mine - having ruled out fuel delivery, tank venting, ignition, air, spark, and the easy stuff. It's either the carb (C1Q-S284) or the engine.

Having owned several Mazda rotary-engined cars, a JASO FD rated 2-cycle oil is best. I run 40:1 to 50:1 in my 50:1 OPEs and 100:1 in my Mazda's for spirited 9K rpm driving or 200:1 for everyday driving. Any JASO-FD rated 2 stroke oil is best for lubrication, reduced ash, and stability over time.

BTW - AFAIK - Kawasaki only applied labels (that conveniently fall off) to the outer part of the engine for ID. There might be a laser or stamping inside the major engine parts - but I've never found them.

Well worth fixing it. Replace the gas lines as the older lines leach elastomer into the carb jets not to mention having loss of suction or fuel flow issues.

I found a John Deere x304 (any 4ws will do for going around beds/trees) that I absolutely love for my 0.7ac mowing task. Works great. Found one with 200h for $1750 locally. Had to put in some maintenance and sewed up the bags but you cannot go wrong for $<2000 for something with low hours and...

What's up with your JD trimmer? Curious as I have on as well. Had to replace the carburetor after many maintenance items including tank venting checks. Turns out it was the carb (wasn't able to clean or replace the diaphragms to fix the gas flow issue).

Set your low idle carburetor up or down (likely down) to lower idle RPMs to stop the cutter from spinning. My JD-branded 2-cycle unit did the same thing - had to adjust idle down.

Blessed to have my father's 015 & other vintage bits: 68 Toro SnowHound, 80 Toro S500, & 88 Deere SX75 tractor - all in running/use shape.

I would also be interested in the 150BT / Redmax EBZ5100 workshop manual as most repairs between the 350BT and 150BT I bet are similar. Thanks in advance.
