Thanks! My whole life I have been prone to fixing things till they break. I will leave them and pay close attention to my tune, which is perfect for now.
I purchased a minty 1997 husky 257, replaced spark plug and fuel line and filter, it is working fine but I am worried about the crank seals. Should they be replaced or leave well enough alone!
I do not have the tools to vac/pressure test.

Yep, that is what I read between the lines!
And the Schaefer’s 9000 says it meets or exceeds FD rating but I am not sure it was actually sent in for testing.
My 257, a guy on Craigslist had it for sale at $250 during a blizzard, I drove to his place and offered $200 and he took it. It came with a nice husqvarna case, 4 chains - two newly sharpened, bar oil, 2 sets of husqvarna safety glasses and a nice Sandvik bar. It had not been run in years...
