    Modest, too.

    Husqvarna 562 XP Mark2

Holy cow, 1500 Euro for a 60cc saw? I guess that"s one more reason to appreciate being American! Is a 560 just a small mount 562?

new saw engine break-in first run ?

Yeah, 40:1 in everything for me, too, except for 50:1 in my Stihl brush cutter and 32:1 for the first gallon in Holzfforma saws. Then 40:1 as well.

So what's the current two stroke oil favorite?

I pretty much mix up Red Armor for one gallon and Dominator for the next. 40:1. But I don't burn nearly as much gas as most around here.

So what did you buy today

I've had NO problems with my 562 at all, and I cut at two fairly different elevations... <500 and 5k and over. I can't tune a saw to save my life, so I like AutoTune, a bunch. Never run a 395, but I'd like to try one some day.

So what did you buy today

I haven't bought (yet!) but Husqvarna has 20% off gas equipment, through the end of September. Torn between a 592 and a backpack blower. Outside chance I might buy both....

    Husqvarna 288xp

I like the VersaCut bars. I wish they made a 28" version, but I dunno if the aluminum sandwich construction would make it too floppy. I guess I'll just have to settle for the Husky-branded SugiHaras. Oh darn.

    Husqvarna 562 XP Mark2

Does it feature Autotune 3 like the 592?

What oil is best? and what ratio?

Yeah, they pay you for your expertise with a grinder, what not listen to what you have to say about what to feed it?

So what did you buy today

Semi-local farm & ranch had a 20" Husky 545 marked down about $150 off. For a new saw it was pretty grubby, apparently it had been there a while. I took it out the day after I bought it, it didn't want to idle. It smoothed out pretty quickly, maybe 10 minutes of run time. Ran fantastic after that.

Tips for folks starting to sharpen their own chains

Just slightly. harder than bringing peace to the Middle East.

    Bar for a tall hobbyist

I run a 24" on a 562XP. I'm sorta looking to pick up a 572 or 592, probably going to pick up a 28" if I do. I'm 6'6" tall. We'll see if the extra length makes up for the heavier powerhead.

    Aspen Alkylate Fuel

I stumbled upon some at a local shop at a no brainer cost, so I bought all I could carry. Works fine in my four-stroke-that-requires-premix Stihl trimmer.

    Chains: Used Once, Never Sharpened?

This is me, though I'm not getting rid of any loops. And I'll eventually get... well, maybe tolerable, at sharpening.
