I have three in my pond. The biggest one is pushing 3ft long the other two are easily 2 footers. They do a good job keeping the pond clean but it’s only 1/4 acre and I have koi. The koi kinda keep things stirred up but they help with the vegetation as well.
This one lasted long enough to wear out one ring. It only had a few hours on the new piston and ring when it locked up. I’ve read they can be rebuilt with ProX rod kit.
The new crank was a complete kit but I bought an oem pin bearing and Nachi main bearings. Guess we’ll see how well it holds up.
I’m not 100 percent sure. It was a wiseco crank and the lower rod bearing locked up tight. I suspect a cheap bearing was used to keep cost down. We’re going with a Hot Rods brand crank this time. I might try to rebuild the one we pulled out with better parts. The wiseco cranks are known to have...
Morning supermarket stalkers. Looks like it’s gonna be a decent day. I get to install a new crank in the kids dirt bike today. Tore it down last night.
