    592XP Oddness

The only issue I've had with a 3 series out of the box, was a bad coil on a 395, the saw would run but not shut off. All good on ground and the switch tested good, new coil and away she went. For myself, dealing with the 5 series has gotten to the point where I expect something and I just have...

    592XP Oddness

On my 592 the muffler bolt hole cover screw was on so tight I instantly stripped the head out. No big deal, out comes the drill, the screw was so freaking tight while I was drilling, the head of the screw popped off and shot across the room. The threads then unscrewed by hand. The handles screw...

    50 or 60? A real conversation

Hands down 50cc. No 60cc saw has ever tickled my fancy.[emoji847]

    Who's running 592s and 585s?

Canadian prices, plus Husqvarna's tend to cost more than Stihl up north, so I've been told.

    Who's running 592s and 585s?

A bit of grinding and some Devcon 10610 would likely make that area strong enough, the case is very thin in that area.

    Who's running 592s and 585s?

Billy is not a Stihl guy and he admitted his bias, and that's his prerogative. Some just like one brand and not the other, and that's that. Myself, I could care less what name is slapped on something. If it works, it works. If it's well made, it's well made. If I like it, I like it.

    Who's running 592s and 585s?

The 066/660 was one of the better saws ever made, perfect build quality, durable as could be. But power wise they were always lacking, the last few years were awful, even when done up, and they had too much vibration for my tast. But nobody can deny how overall good they were.

    Who's running 592s and 585s?

No reason to sell a good 390! Simple and reliable workhorse of a saw.

    Who's running 592s and 585s?

The 572 is a very well sorted out machine.

    Who's running 592s and 585s?

572xp with standard single inner spike and with the large clutch cover and big spikes.

    Who's running 592s and 585s?

Both saws are quite lightweight for the power and capability they offer. Reduced weight bars do make a difference. Yeah fuel oil and the bar & chain adds a considerable amount of weight. Bothe the 592 and 661 with full tanks.

    Who's running 592s and 585s?

Yup the the wrap handle and bigger spikes and larger clutch cover will add an additional one to one and a half pounds. The half wrap 572 and 592 come with the reduced profile clutch cover, it's quite light.

    Who's running 592s and 585s?

MS661 that was also new before fuel or oil was added. Yes my dealer knows me and doesn't bother with the normal dealer prep deal. So just one ounce between the 661 and 592.

    Who's running 592s and 585s?

This is what mine weighed straight out of the box. That's with the side cover, Husqvarna always excludes the clutch cover when weighing their saws.
