Who has a favorite? Is it considered vintage or current production? If you have several, which one do you grab the most often?

Currently I’ve only got a 521 Jonsereds that needs resurrection. Sold my 2153wh and to be honest that thing needed to be cycled on and off too much. Leave it on and it would burn the hell out of my hands, always figured it was because it was ported and ran very high revs.

I do think a heated saw on the smaller side works well because your hands get cold/wet from limbing and dragging brush. Bucking with a big saw it seems less important.

I sold mine to collectors. But ones I liked best in small saws was Partner 5000 and jred 490. Liked how you could adjust the heat from muffler how you wanted it to both handles.

Liked that system better then the 346xpg I had.

Very cool, I had a 490 with this setup but it was barely a parts saw so I sold it at a swap meet. Maybe I’ll have to keep on the lookout for a nicer one.

Then there's my favorite 2 small heated saws; 242XPG and 444SG. I know the dark top doesn't belong on the 242, but just to make it look a little different next to the regular 242's. And it was the only top end I had when I built the saw, which had taken a hit. The 444 is totally stock and strong; surprises everyone who tries it.

Very nice saws gentlemen!

Anyone know what the first saw was with heated handles? 521 is the earliest that I know of but I wouldn’t be surprised if there was another before that.

Toss up between these two.

The one on the left was warmed over by walkers saw shop. (Wish I could get another sticker it's starting to fade bad) That one really hauls the mail. Out cuts my 7910 easily.

The blue one is actually a 371 (371 sticker is nla) has a bg delete, timing advance and soon a muffler mod. Built it because my 3yo son wanted a blue saw in the garage hahaha. Feels hardy but I only have two tanks of fuel through it. Grips work great so don't care if it's as stout as the walkerized saw. :headbang:

I probably grab my 2153 the most. Wish I could have a heated 2260!! It’s like anything though depends what I’m cutting, if it’s big and cold I grab one my 71’s with the warmers

Love heated handles. Just landed a 346xpg. I haven't fired it up yet, but if it's like my other 346, it'll be a favorite in the cold months. I run my 440 Arctic a lot bucking firewood too, but honestly my ported 261 with heat is pretty dang good at bucking too. I run a 16" 3/8 bar on it and it rips in hardwood.

I've only got one. If buying new, I'd certainly consider spending a bit more for the heat. It is a great feeling when cold.

Never ran a heated handle saw, always just put my hands in front of the muffler for a few seconds to warm them up if they got cold LOL.
