Did you heat the drill bit first, goes in nice and easy that way.
Hit the wrong nail? Reminds me of getting finger between punched plate and stripper plate above. Had to take a moment to figure to step down or release control pedal. Hydro punch press, stepped down, red hot needle opened hole to release blood pressure

Man that smarts, hate the throbbing .
Hope it gets better quick.
I used a small bit and twisted it cold by hand, only took a minute.Hit the wrong nail? Reminds me of getting finger between punched plate and stripper plate above. You ought to try it with a hot bit now since you don't have anything to loose except the nail lol.I used a small bit and twisted it cold by hand, only took a minute.
Lot less came out than expected, but sure felt good,, now the wait for the nail to fall off,, and all that stuff. The throbbing is mostly gone
I have jammed my big toes and killed them on many occasions back in the basketball days..I used to drill them out and let the blood flow too, it hurts like crazy and feels so good when you relieve the pressure...then the ingrown nails and grinding of nails...I feel your pain!I used a small bit and twisted it cold by hand, only took a minute.

Pretty much what its looked like here for the last week and a half other than one evening and the picture of the snow/rain I posted. They said we got 1%of the available sunshine for last week. Its raining now and suppose to all day, with the cold front moving in tonight with snow tonight and tomorrow. This was yesterday View attachment 211701
Congrats.Sat in my stand Saturday all morning. Saw 3 small does/button bucks.
My 9 year old wanted to go out with me, so after lunch, we bundled up and I took her to my brother's heated shooting tower, thinking we might lay out a nice doe. Not even 20 minutes in the stand, and a sow and 2 yearling cubs walked out to the pipeline. Took my brother and uncle and I a couple hours to drag her out. 211 dressed weight. Estimated 251 live.

I told my grandfather that I think I created a hunter for life today. She was absolutely jacked!Congrats.
She'll never forget that.
It's .270 caliber.Nice tang safety Ruger, what caliber is it? My county is now a bear zone, rifle season is December 14-20.
It's .270 caliber.
It's an original M77 with the tang safety, and the bolt locks on safe (the good kind).
Dad saved up and bought it used while he was in high school. It's mid-70's production if I recall correctly. Has an older Leupold Vari-X II on it as well. Just the perfect working man's rifle for big game.
Cool pictures man.

What's the stick fence in this one?
