Here is a 066* Mr Randy did for me. The saw had low hours on a rebuild when I got it, I haven't run many tanks through it since I got it back from him. It is a hard running saw for sure, it has a KS cylinder that the shop put on when it was repaired before I got it.*

Clutch cover is aftermarket only because I didn't realize when I ordered it, the air filter is also an aftermarket HD1 filter because I didn't like the HD2, *Edit: I realized today when I took the saw down I remembered I put a hyway dual port cover on the saw*, you will get all of the original late 066* parts with it if you buy it and I can find them or robbed too much from them lol

By the recoil cove top covers and muffler that looks like an 066 that someone put an 660 tag on it. It's a great looking saw GLWS!

I put all of those covers on because I like that look better, I have all original covers too, but it wasn't until recently I learned that the cylinder very well could be an 066 cylinder and not a 660 like I thought.

Hang in there Kensie, you know what you got here. Bookface can be brutal. Lots of stooges there. Not all, but some.

I like it when in order to get his point across, a guy posts a Sears portrait of various 1122’s like it’s the authoritative stamp of superiority.

Just last week I unsubscribed to the book farcw saw pages, at first I could get a good laugh then it was just sad reading some of the posts.

Yea I'm slowly doing the same, just couldn't take all of the BS anymore, I'm only in a handful of firewood pages and only one repair page now.

So after all of the crap I went through yesterday over this saw and some wise individuals saying that this saw was in fact not a 660 I had someone run the serial, it wasnt registered so the gentleman had to call Stihl and have them look up the number. It turns out the saw is in fact a 066. Glad thats over...Lol

Ill get a tag and swap it out.

my perception was this is a very nice mid case poly 066 - covers/name tags/etc are easy to swap out loty freakin da - get your cash out & call it whatever you want - Good luck with the tire kickers & experts Kensie! I'm hoping to finish up mine later this week/month with heated handles.

Whew...

At least we got that sorted out. Are you going to use an OEM 066 emblem?
