Really clean 3700 Poulan. Thin ring/chrome bore. I bought this from a member a few winters ago and I have used it maybe a dozen times...I did the muffler mod, the classic 24" Oregon bar and chain go with it along with the 20" set. Starts and runs great. Ignore the "4000" decal on the starter cover (but it does have the nicer "vented" 4000 airbox cover).

The auto oiler works sporadically; It's my understanding that's pretty common with these series. Manual oiler works great so I never thought anything of it. I really like this saw a lot, but I have another 60cc class Poulan that's a little newer, so its time this one found another loving home.

I'd like to get $225 (plus shipping) for the saw and both bars/chains, but I am open to reasonable offers. Need to rebuild a set of Ohlins for mu Husky! Last of the laid-down twins.
Husky held onto those Ohlins ITC twinshocks loong after everyone else went to monoshocks. And for good reason- the performance was comparable, and even better in certain circumstances. Maybe not on an MX track, but cross country/enduro competition, these bikes were top of the mark in their day and with a good rider can even still be competitive in most circumstances. Handmade in Sweden!

Oh- I think I understand. No- thats an '84 500XC. The '84 Husky CR250s were kinda unique- water cooled with the twinshock rear suspension. Everything got water cooling and single shock for '85.

I just recently got rid of an '86 43oXC. It was an amazing motor- very different than the 500s. Ran like a big 250 rather than a true torque open-classer.

The single shock bikes don't do it for me like the twin shockers. To me its not a vintage bike unless it has twin shocks and fins on the cylinder.

BUMP Make me a reasonable offer for this great running classic saw.

I got my Ohlins, but the saw is still for sale!

Bump...this saw and B&C combo still needs to find a new home. $200 plus the ride just covers what I have into it all.

Put up local. Plenty of firewood hacks around.

Yea I have it on my local CL as well as FB marketplace. I am honestly surprised I haven't gotten a single bite on it. Firewood is big in my area but everyone seems to already own a Husky 350 or a Stihl 290 and "why would they need some cheapo green Poolan?" :BangHead:

I'd buy that Poulan 3700 today if I didn't already have on board a 4000 that runs like the day it was released and refuses to die. These saws are tough as nails and one of the best kept secrets in the business. Too bad they can no longer be bought new.

Hey, I sold this. But I can't seem to figure out how to delete the thread/posting? @Mastermind (I don't know another admin to tag, sorry!)
