yeah, this was ground back about halfway. still about .040 i guess. this saw pulled it with ease.
Never checked the angles with 404. Fifty might not be enough buy the end of cutter life. My chains are still over half cutter
The harvester chain is set at 0.045-0.052 out of the box. Still won't cut without work. Then you fight it.

Why not build up the depth gauges to suit?

so far I have been chasing a couple of rolls across three continents and 8 countries, but I haven't given up
I have standing orders for about a roll and a half worth and plenty of guys interested in a loop when i track it down and have it in hand

The 46RST high tooth comes off the roll with blunt blank cutters. Wouldn't cut much better then a backwards mounted chain.
Even on bikesaws you don't touch the rakers just leave them factory smooth and bring the cutters back to the rear rivets. Now the raker setting is perfect and with the right size oversized sprocket upcuts can be manageable.

It's all in the gearing and the raker setting. In this case filing the cutter back makes the raker setting.
