Boat #2 no pics of the damage yet, but it decided to loose the oil pump and lock up 4mi into a 8mi upstream run.

Now I'm hoping this guy has enough juice to get me in without having to get a tow.

Sucks. Guess if it was easy everybody would be doing it.

I remember owning boats.......from big block jet drives to 6 banger inboards.

I don't miss a damn one of em.
The only one I miss was my first. 19' Checkmate shallow V, Olds 455 with a Berkley C pump, two seats and a raised back deck. I bought it six months after my 21st birthday. That boat just made bikini bottoms fall off. Dambdest thing I ever saw.

@Stevetheboatguy your first pic reminded me of our recent trip to Montana.
Came around a curve on I94 near Fargo and notice white marks all over the road. That's when I saw the 16' or so Bayliner sitting on the shoulder...truck and trailer long gone!

Happens all to often. People wonder why I'm a stickler for tying things down. Rode my share of miles on a klr650 and had to dodge my share of crap that people lost. Never stumbled across a lost boat though. And I'm sure glad that the one we were hauling didn't happen at highway speed. The break was behind the safety chain attaching point. It would have been a goner would have ended up hurting or killing someone. The man upstairs was really looking over us that day. Grateful for that.
