I have recently read on the interwebs here on OPE that the oil goes in the second tank marked "oil" and the engine takes as much as it needs.

It's on the interwebs, it MUST be true!

Bigger gear ?

I’ll usually go that route before getting too crazy on the rakers. My main objective is to see some wear on the chassis. Some of the new loops are pretty tight for some reason. Not to mention some really out of whack cutters lately.

This is my favorite square file reference, and for hardwood / work chain I like to stick with 45/45/45 (back, angle, down).

I also prefer to drop rakers instead of going to a larger rim … less friction/wear on the bar.
