The cases are different between the 441c and normal carbed 441. Some good reading in this thread https://www.arboristsite.com/community/threads/ms-441-m-tronic-conversion.323726/ ... Have to rebuild practically the entire saw to convert it. They still make the black solenoids.
Have read that thread husky but thanks.
I can still fit the 441 carburettor and leave the solenoid connected to the wiring from the 441c carburettor and saw will run, correct?
Wasn't planning on changing the coil or flywheel.
I think Brad has done this with a 661.
I know you went the other way.
Cheers,Chris.

Is the intake boot ripped? 1133's have notoriously spongy a/v and rip intake boots easily. Did the saw hold pressure and vacuum?

Negative, looks good and passing vac and pressure testing

Not sure man but it could be something to look into. Personally I would rather have the mtronic, it’s nice when it’s working properly.

34 ohms

Does that mean it’s functioning?

Should be good electrically. The passages in the fuel solenoid are bigger as in the carburetor. Normally there is no problem with dirt in it.

The only saw I have the 4 strokes is 562autotune.

Also might want to update the solenoid

I swapped the solenoid off the 261 into the 280. I think that was good call. The scream to the top is gone on choke.
Stihl doesn’t run. It won’t idle at all.
I can keep it running with the throttle but anywhere near release of the throttle and it dies.
The only diagnostic I’ve done yet is to pressure test the fuel line. Sat.

Clean carb, pressure and vac test engine

Yup
Pressure and vac was good on tear down but didn’t check it before light off
Carb was cleaned on tear down, but definitely could be something there.
I did check the fuel line and that’s tight.
I’ll get to it when I’m not so angry at it.
Thanks @backhoelover

I couldn’t wait.
There’s a good leak somewhere. I think it’s on the intake but hard to tell. It was quick set up but I felt adequate.
Ill do it again with a better set up.
