In my opinion, its ultimately skill that conquers all.

I know guys with a 290 and semi-chisel that would embarrass people in the saw video thread with their mo-fro-ed square chisel frogskin K2 saw.

Before we go anymore off the rails...I think if the 562 gets the same treatment as the 550 it's gonna be one hell of a 60cc saw.

I agree with both of those statements.

But...but..if the 290 had stage 3 or even stage 4 mods that was fully phsycoized, wrap handle, tach, muffler pipes & over sized dawgz with a dog boned race chain that never been to the races...it would be a true worksaw. Make sure you have a scrench holder on the handle too in case you want to back out the bar nuts mid cut. Don't forget an Jap light bar without blemish & a builder sticker so your coworkers know your work saw is ready for work. And run it on canned fuel for longevity & stuff. And toss the air filter shroud for moah powa & so it can keep up with the stage 4 mods.

I think it's cool people have hobbies. Real cool, I started to get into chainsaws and the mods at a time in my life when I was doing some other things that weren't gonna land me anywhere good in the long run. It kept me occupied in my spare time with something constructive.

I'm not trying to be a dick about any of it. I just think some of this goes off the rails waaaaaay to far sometimes and people have these made up notions of chainsaws that don't exist in the real world.

People on this forum know about the difference in saws but the majority of the people are just concerned about price!

You live in the real world too.

My boss looks at a chainsaw like most people look at a coal shovel. It's a tool to do his work that he can write off and buy more of when the time comes. He doesn't have a postal scale, He doesn't care about motorcycle oil in his saw, He doesn't time the cuts, it's just a tool..that's it. He cares about how much more money he can make.

I'm the only one on the chain gang that knows anything about them which he does appreciate. He doesn't go through them anywhere near as fast as he used to.

Now you’re insulting the coal shovel collectors!

“Rivets are better than welded!”
“11.4% handle angle is optimum!”
“Ash makes the best handle!”
“Stamped shovels are Communist!”
“I wipe my handles down with linseed oil once a week...”

I could name 6 or 7 tree services that I know personally that have ms 250's for their ground guys..guess why...

I think if this 562 is a smidge heavier and follows suit of the 550 and 572 it's gonna be a good move for husqvarna and the men of the world that use these things will be happy they finally have a saw that fits them well they can count on...the ounces here and there won't matter.

My employer had a horrid run with 5 series husqvarna's (his fault sorta)..IF he goes back ever (highly unlikely) and finds it's a more reliable better built saw he won't mention that they weigh a little more..I'll guarantee that.

what are you still arguing about
i agreed there is a number of reasons for what gets purchased sometimes it simply price sure but there are other reasons and noticable weight differences are one of them look at a 462 vs a 661 neither are cheap by any means so i could run a 20 bar on the 661 and did a fair ammount but i would rather run a 462 for 20" bars if i had one most would agree and why because its alot lighter
as for the ms250 those same companies also have other saws that im sure are alot more expensive lots of different applications all i said which is still correct is a slight weight difference i agreed wasnt a big deal but a big weight difference was certainly a factor thats what i said and said its relative if we we arguing about a few ounces i agreed that would be stupid to me but to say pounds in weight dont matter to anyone for any application would also be crazy if you cant agree with this forget it you already said you did just you worded it differently with your statement of matching the tool to the job
show me one climber who would be happy running a 30lb top handle saw (if they made one which they dont and there is a reason)
would you rather run a 15lb saw or a 50lb saw
manufacturers must be really stupid to spend so much money and time trying to keep weight down on their saws when clearly it makes no difference lmao forget it i might as well just talk to the wall
and to the saw price is the main buying factor for most everyone wow thats certainly another extreme. that would be like saying no one will buy a 562 because the rancher 460 is alot less money

theres 2 ends of the spectrum some are interested in every ounce we know some of them their on here and they post. to me i dont worry about a couple ounces lots more to a saw to me than just what is lightest or what it weighs but to go to the other extreme and say i dont care at all how much one weighs i think is also pretty far off the mark thats all im saying and really dont see much to argue about with this statement in fact i believe most would agree with this.
So getting back to the 562 for the record im fine if the new version 562 comes in a little heavier than the last one if thats what it takes to give it the best durability and reliability BUT if it weighed the same as a 572 ie it gained pounds I would not be happy well i would be i just would have 2 572's lol.
again its all relative like i posted much earlier 1/4 pound not a huge deal but 3 1/4 pounds would be.......

If a professional user has a homeowner saw and a homeowner has a professional saw what do you call them ?
exceptions to the majority of situations
and a dollar chasing a dime
guess im unreasonable to state the majority of professional users run pro grade equipment even if that is factual

"this thread is on the 562xp with an msrp around $800. we were talking about professional users and saws not homeowner and firewood saws sure there is a large market for saws on a budget. there is also a lot of professional users running very expensive saws because they make their living with them. different priorities. i said small weight differences not a big deal big weight differences are and usually reason to select certain saw for certian job this is not talking about homeowner with only one saw cutting a little firewood each year "

i was being sarcastic in my response to this post of yours professionals certainly spend more on there equipment than the average homeowner so not sure what your getting at with my quotes. you posted they have the same money the rest of us do and thats insane!
Back to what i said earlier price can be a factor but usually NOT for pro users there are a ton of purchases not based on price heck there wouldnt even be a pro line of saws if they wouldnt sell over the other cheaper options but they do every day especially to the ones making there living with them (hense the word professionals). look at the cost of bucket trucks and tractors and chippers and skidders and ect ect the chainsaw is actually one of the cheaper pieces of equipment professionals buy and use. Now not to take this to the extreme certainly if something is way overpriced its not going to sell thats a given but i didnt buy a single saw i have just because of the price and im certainly not alone here not by a long shot

here is a good way to put it which saw do you think spike60 is selling more of the 572xp or the 565? very similar saws on a shared chassis and the 565 is a little cheaper so surely it must sell far better(sarcasm here) or to a larger difference how many 460 ranchers are the loggers buying over that twice as expensive 572xp? different users have very different prioritys for there purchase decisions and when it comes to the pro users price is not the main factor
