Just throwing this out there. I think every forum needs an off topic section. In most cases, that's where most of the posts take place. Threads like a "Good Morning" thread belong there....

It also keeps banter off the main pages....

When I was in high school I worked at DD's. I'd pretend I couldn't understand what they were saying. I may have made myself laugh.

Car question.

Has anyone ever pressed out the bearings on the sealed bearing type wheel hub? These bearings are not able to be greased throughout it's service life and is designed to be a throwaway hub once the bearings go bad.

I have a 2014 Jeep Cherokee and the front wheel bearings didn't make it to 100,000 miles before they started screaming for Mama. I don't want to spend $250 for the OEM if they are going to do the same. But at the same time, I don't want to get a cheap after market for fear of the same thing. The best option I believe is to replace the bearings with a set that is of a quality name.

Is it possible?

See if Moog or another good parts maker has one.

Be careful guys. My wife just feel victim to a scam. She found a dog she liked on the internet somewhere... She wired the money and now silence. No dog, no money.

An empty wallet doesn't bother me as bad as her broken heart.

Why do people have to be such jackwagon's?
Is there an email or text trail at least for police to follow up on? At least get your money back?

My wife is meeting with the police within the hour....it's actually still going on. They have sent an email to her this morning wanting $1,000 to ship the dog, giving them more money. After they told her shipping was covered in the original payment.

So, why do we know this is a scam? One of my wife's friends sent her an add from another post selling a dog from a year ago.... not only is it the same dog, it's the same pictures used in both adds.

We filed a report Wednesday afternoon with the local sheriff's department and they said they would inform/transfer the information to Oklahoma City where it was confirmed the wired money was picked up at. So they know the city and location it went to. We don't know how proactive the police are there on following up on cases like this, if someone picks it up there should be video footage of the person that got the money on camera.
