Im not much for beer. I prefer rum.
But either way, it stays home until the day is done.
Heights, sharp objects and being a walking accident dont mix well.

This scar is about 3" from my wrist.
View attachment 185624

Back in 2009 my Dad shot a deer. It dropped, got back up and he hit it again. Dropped got up and ran.
He's color blind, so I tracked.
Found it, walked up to it and gave it a nudge with my boot. It's chest rose slightly, so still alive.
I grabbed its head and cut its throat. Deer launched itself straight up. Knife went through deer into me.
Almost cut completely through a tendon, half way through a couple muscles and missed an artery by millimeters.
8 stitches in tendeon, 16 across my arm.
I still have zero feeling between the scar and my wrist.
Deer had been shot twice with a .30-06. 1 lung gone, other damaged, liver gone, and throat cut to the spine.
Dad said it was 60 yards from where it all went down when he recovered it the following morning.
i got a very close .same but different story.buck almost killed me but here i am.the buck was not even mine s o b stuck the knife in and was cutting and he took me and knife abought 7 foot in the air .1 last grasp at life. but what you gonna do still be very very careful.

It's amazing how fast things can just go totally wrong.
Here's a funny part to my story.
When it happened, my Dad was about 20' away, holding a lantern. A split second after, he said something. I just replied "cut, bad" held pressure on it and over my head and started for the house.
Sitting in the E.R. waiting for the surgeon, I look at Dad and ask "When I got cut, did you say, Did that *f-worder bite you?"
And we instantly burst out laughing.
And the surgeon walked in.
He was unimpressed by the 2 laughing jackasses in the room, but to this day, every now and again, one of us will ask the other "Did that *f-worder bite you?" :D

Pos Chevy Trax 1.5 turbo.
Thats part of the pcv system..plugged with coked up oil due to cracked pistons..

20190612_164758.jpg

Guy bought it at another dealer 2 hours away. They "certified" it, which is supposed to mean its good to go, and extends the warranty.
He's pissed at us that it drank 4 quarts of oil in 2500 miles..wtf. I'm just the A-hole fixing what they wouldnt FFS.

River De Phew! [emoji1784]

Open sewer when I was a kid.
Federal clean water act changed that. East of S Broadway is the treatment plant 6 or 8 blocks South. All the phew is in concrete piping under the rain drain pumped uphill that distance

Agreeded!

Thank ya :)

Ireland is like cocaine - it sells itself. I just trap it in a bottle and try and share it on a mirror with you. The moment I arrived in Ireland back in the 90's for the first time, I wanted to live here.

But seriously, I've been taking photos since I was a kid, and was developing my own by high school. The site I store my images on was created by a photobug friend of mine, and I still do the trouble shooting on it. It's been around for 20 years now. I've carried a fair few cameras in my time. From very expensive DSLR's to super cheap camera phones. I found a phone makes a terrible camera because the lens is not great and you have limited creative control over the exposure, and expensive cameras also make terrible cameras because they are often heavy and you don't want to bring it everywhere because it's expensive. The trick is having a capable camera on your person at all times. You never know when a moment arrives you need to bottle.

Stuff like this is difficult to capture with a camera phone. Sligo beach, 1998 - so scanned from film. Hell, let me throw up some old school film stuff then.(The Jonah pic is with a 2.75 MP Nikon D1, tho)..:

Granger, Texas '98 ish:

These pics make me a bit sad - one of the reasons I helped a bud start a photo depository was because I lost thousands of images in a flood. I had just moved to a new house and left the box with my photos on the bottom of a stack in the garage :(. Granger is a very super cool old school Texas town that is slowly going ghost. Many of the buildings, including the one below, are gone now. It is frustrating to lose images no one can ever make again.

Here's one of the first images I took with my 2.75 MP Nikon D1 back in 2001 or so - straight out of the camera jpeg:

Here it is nearly 20 years later cleaned up a bit in a more modern image editing software. With less than 3MP, there's not a lot to work with, but I think it still shows that how you develop the images makes a difference:

I'll tack this on at the end here - a digital image from an 8mp Canon 350 I am quite fond of from uh...Ah, Granger as well:

I figured it was by now.

CWA caught up with us here in Joetown. Storm water separation projects have been going on for several years. It’s being paid for by a sewer charge by the city.

Sewer bill is roughly double the water bill. [emoji37]

Do I water my lawn?

Hell no!

I picked up this hay wagon last year for hayrides and such around the farm. It was a typical wagon from a depression era farmer. Deck was made of repurposed lumber and jank as all hell. Had 4 different wheels with all diferent backspacing. 4 different size tires and the list goes on. Got the deck riped off and all 4 corners bearings cleaned and repacked. Has the same 5x5.5 lug pattern as my f150 so i used the steel wheels and tires left over from my truck project.
2" wheel spacers to get the tires away from the frame a bit. Have to build a decent toung and will be getting the lumber this weekend to build the deck..
