This trimmer runs perfect but then cycles medium to low RPM while I try to rev it up. I cleaned the carb passages and valve, etc and it runs perfect for another minute and begins cycling again like its starving for fuel. I have not replaced the fuel tank pickup filter. Is that a good place to start or could it be the coil dying as it heats up and killing the spark intermittantly?
Thanks a lot!

Could be either. But the fuel filter and lines are a good spot to start

Ok I'll order one. The fuel lines are pretty hard as well.
I forgot to mention that sometimes I get zapped when it's running which also made me think faulty coil/ground..

I'd try and find the source of the shock, too. An ignition wire is shorting out somewhere

I'm seeing lots of fuel filter kits available for the T282 but not the T270. Are they the same? (same fuel tank grommet, and carb?)
