I think I drove by that place when I was working in SoCal, driving into Hell Centro to get groceries when I
was staying in Borrego Springs.

Yeah, I live here in hell
I must be a glutton for punishment, I kinda miss the days of working down there. Though about three or four days down there would be enough to take care of those thoughts. I don’t really have any real desire to work in 120+ degree days any more.

Chain was not tip top.

Old dry hard desert pine. They get sick or bugs and send up lots of sap fight it, then die with it in the wood and when it dries it’s hard and sticky as heck. I was noodling with the 30” 395 same day. Some it would melt through and some felt like I had just rocked the chain.

Also tried the speedcut on the 2050 that day and dang it cuts.

But what do you think about the tune?

Yeah I hear ya. Looks like some tough stuff. Saw sounds good though. I don't get into too much wood that really fights me. I cut up a bunch of black locust that was down for a year or two once. Wasn't sure whether to use my demo saw or chainsaw. Got thru it all fine just seemed to be touching up the chain quite often lol. Enjoy the 6100! Nice saws!

Hopefully this weekend I’ll put a good chain on and make a video to do the saw justice
