The place we have lived in since 2014 has a detached garage that we have turned in to a Pottery Studio with a little room in one of the bays for my stuff. Previous owner used it as a wood shop. Upstairs they left behind a bunch of garden tools, the Husband died after we submitted a contract but before we settled.

I found this behind a bunch of other garden tools last night, it was covered in mud, probably used to skim the tops of roots from trees on the property I see where this has been done while mowing.

Anyway I washed off the mud, worked on the better edge a bit.

It's probably not anything special but if someone could help me identify it I would appreciate it. Obviously Collins probably not that old but I think it will clean up and be useful.

That's a nice axe, probably dates from the late 80's/early 90's. I've had a few of the Collins heads over the year, they're one of my favorites.

Defiantely agree with you on this @jacob j. you've sent me some nice examples
