! If You are expecting speedy cutting SKIP THE POSTED VIDEOS !

I guess this will not tickle many members, but here it is

Oregon LGX (mildly used) vs custom made Full House Oregon EXL (new)

Smaller diameter turkey oak log
LGX

Full House EXL

Larger diameter turkey oak log
LGX

Full House EXL

Yes, chip clearance is an issue - but NO, I do not consider this chain a failure.

Please keep in mind that this custom made Full House EXL chain was never intended for everyday cutting!
This is a play chain and conversation starter!

Nothing wrong with those videos, I’ve never seen full house in action. Pretty cool.

That is why I debarked the smallest log I had at hand and the larger one.
I was surprised myself that the chain kinda struggled on the smaller log.

One has to take it for what it is, a work in progress just like porting a brand new chainsaw model.

I always wanted to try a full house chain, Jason and Nathaniel made it possible. :)

The full house looked like it was a bit rougher/had more vibration. At least judging by how much the handguard bounced.
Did it have a much different feel?

The video is showing how it felt like, rough.
It was caused by chips plugging up the chain and the plugged chain forcing the bar out of the cut.

Try filing the depth gauges, or even cutting them off completely leaving only one every 2 teeth so it's still symmetrical. There's a high quality full house carbide rescue chain I've always wondered how it would do cutting stumps even through all the metal you find in them. I figured such close tooth spacing would allow each one to take a small enough bite out of metal inside a tree as to not destroy it.
