You should use the word MIGHT. Billet input, dtt converter, upgraded internals.....still took a crap. Only minor upgrades, never bypassed the computer for over fueling. Converter has been rebuilt, internals freshened up.......can feel it acting wonky again. Those transmissions were never designed with diesel torque in mind. At some point I'll give up and get a new truck, I just don't like payments. Was someone talking about chainsaws?

PS-No, I won't say how much I've invested in transmission work, it makes me tear up.

Go see Garmons in Georgia. He will build you a good transmission that will hold for a long time with warranty.

Update on the Georgia Peach 272xp. Cylinder is all ported and ready to go, brand new seals installed. Waiting on a few things pretty much ready to go when they get here. Blister maker muffler mod and I am donating a brand new genuine Tillotson carbeltater to the build to guarantee good performance.

Just a little clarification on Prize #14. The chain is supplied by the winner and Kevin is grinding it. Kevin is not supplying the 800DL of chain.

3/8 lp, .325, 3/8, .404 in any combination.

Basically,
12 72 dl chains
10 84 dl chains
4 114 dl chains and 6 60dl chains
Etc...
All at once or send me a few now and a few later.
Round or square ground. Let me know if it's for work or play and where you want the rakers at

FYI, the huge, canted valves and ports in the 351 C and 429/460 engines were designed by the Chevy guy that Ford brought over. They were truly far too large for efficient use on the street. Many of the dirt track guys in Middletown started putting 351 2 bbl heads on their motors to improve throttle response.

The 351 4 bbl heads were also used on the 302 Boss, in 70 they reduced the size a bit, they really did not make full power till about 8,000 RPM, and those engines were not built to go that high.

I ran a slightly built 351 C 4 bbl engine for a while, the power really came on as you approached the 7,000 RPM redline, but I preferred the gut wrenching torque of the FE big blocks. My 427 had solid power from 1,000 to 6,800 RPM.
