Older gentleman brought this 10-10 by and asked me if I could get it running. Pretty good shape all told. New carb kit and she lives.

This Practica 44 was my first Saw that belonged to me instead of my dad. Found it in my storage building the other day, been in there for years. At the time I thought the coil had went bad, turns out it was just the kill switch. Time to find it a new home.

You don't want to fix and keep the Practica?

Already put a new switch in, so it’s once again in working order. I honestly forgot I even still had the saw. It’s not something I would use anymore, or am particularly sentimental about, so I’m sure someone will appreciate it more than me.

Here's a better before pic. Looks like I Put the chain in the dirt at the end of the first cut. I'm still an amateur with square ground. It's frustrating and satisfying all at the same time.....if that makes sense IMG_2912.JPGThis was before I put it in the dirt. Urrrgggg

Over the past few days:

New OEM P+C on a 461 and got it back to the Tree guy.

He returned a MS460 with Asian tank, the choke stopped working. I pulled a control lever off a broken 046 handle I had, and everything works fine now.

Everything else is OEM on that 460, I had previously deleted the base gasket and advanced the timing, and it runs real well w/o any port work. Sq is .018, Ex 105, Tr 127 and In 75. After checking the #s, decided to just leave it as is.

I'm sure I can repair the profile of the AM control lever/choke lever, but the PL Premium will take about 24 hours to dry, so replacing it was easier and faster.
