After that one was buttoned up. I got into this one.

Project 3450 54cc I just got in. I wonder why it wouldnt start . Worst I have ever seen on this style of air filters. The pleats I am guessing half inch deep. Laid a cleaner filter in pic to compare to. Also mix in tank smelled like turpentine.
Least the piston and cylinder look good. I would have figured scored.

I had a 046 come in with a winter filter that there must’ve been a 1/4” or fines and chit inside the filter/housing. Compression was still good, amazed me. Lol. I took off that crappy winter filter and put on one of the knockoff paper ones with a foam seal. I think it still runs to this day.

I just worked on a 461 and I swear there was more sawdust and debris INSIDE the filter, housing, filter mount and carb than outside it.
461's are the saws we use at work when not using the 201tc's. The amount of fines/chips/dust that gets behind the filter and into the carb throat is crazy. It's amazing how long those saws last, even 1 tank will put fines into the carb throat. But somehow the 461's last forever, I bet we put a solid 50 gallons+ threw each 461 every year. They keep on runnin till we run them over or drop something on them... running 87 octane w/ up to 10% ethanol fuel with tractor supply brand oil at 50:1 in a filthy fuel jug. we get about 3-5 years out of them before they get crushed/cannibalized

My husqvarna 372, 371, 371K frankensaw is coming along pretty nicely. Whoever ends up buying it will get a pretty nice saw.

Shown air filter style I showed few days ago that was plugged up. What I like to run on the air injection poulan. This is the updated set over the 475 415 ones I cant stand.

Also tried to show the walbro tool for setting heights. Also have a zama one. Their cheap, quick and handy.

This is the 445 I tried to test against the 441 I had just fixed for guy when 445 wasnt running right.

No photos to prove it but I am in a McCulloch 300 Series mode right now trying to get a few saws cleaned up and ready to go on display. I've been through a Mac Cat and PM310 already and have a PM365 all apart for a good cleaning right now. They are really crappy saws to look at but are not bad saws for cutting up a few limbs.

Here is a Titan 7 which is (I believe) the last iteration of the 300 Series saws that I went through last summer.

Husqy 268 with a Bow bar on it. 82 yo man owns it and cuts firewood with it everyday. When i looked at him I didn’t think he could even lift it; he gently picked it up and cranked it right over. Helluva an old fart!

The 268 with bow on it.

Thought it had an air leak somehwere. Pulled the cyl off:

As soon as I pulled the bolts, the cyl was loose. Looks like the cyl bolts loosened up as there is oil all the way around the mating surface and the gasket.

Piston and cyl are pristine. New ring, BGD, new seals, rebuild carb and change up the muffler port; she’ll be good to go!

That's pretty cool!

I am 95% sure I have a new Caber ring in my shop at home for that if you want it.
Got a pair when I did my 268, and being single ring, there was 1 left over.
