Ryan, are you guys running the 362 Ver II at work? If so, what do you/they think of them?

The local dealer gave a 620 to the biggest logging outfit in town to tryout. The crew supervisor said no one would pick it up for about a week. A few weeks later they bought 16

I've obviously never put any serious time on one, but I definately wouldn't overlook one for my firewood cutting just to put some time on it.

I wouldn't keep it though, im honestly trying to get to the point it's strictly stihl only because of my dealer.

Good dealers are hard to find these days. I can understand that.

That they have, i have 5 of them..love em'.

I don't know of a saw that comes alive more from a muffler mod. Bump the timing a little too and they don't leave much to be desired with an 18-20" bar.

Just not enough of them to go around.

I ported my first 036 back around 2007 -8 , it gave the most performance increase I ever got from a Stihl saw without doing extensive machine work on the P&C. I almost gave up toting my 044`s around after that but the 044 held an edge I could not fully give up.

Is there any difference power wise in the 361 and 036? I never see 361s for sale around here mostly 362s. Maybe a reason for that.
In terms of power from what I've noticed...

1) 361
2) 036
3) 362

But I don't have a lot of time running a 362

I have an 036 very dependable saw but I wouldn’t want any less power. Gets very little use thanks to my huskil 346. Never run a 361.

A ported 361 is tits, get porkchop to port one for you.

They feel smaller than they are, you might not run your 346 as much if had a good ported 361 with an 18-20" bar.

Only problem is if echo puts their name on it the price doubles. The echo branded Oregon bars are way higher than the Oregon and the echo name lasts about 5 min on the black bars.
