I would love to see a picture of the entire saw to see if the paint on the bar was toasted as well

The whole damn saw would have been smoking

I guess it could be operator error but man oh man, if it was this is some short bus stuff right here.....

So are we back to some sort of fuel related cause?

The repetitive nature of the damage kind of rules out part failures I would think

Or are we sticking with "operator headspace"...

Air leak induced lean question would be my guess.

Of all the seizures I have seen only one could be attributed to fuel and that engine was very marginal for pump gas compression wise. The rest were caused by lean conditions as a result of mostly air leaks, but some times temp.
Given the low compression ratios of saws I would wager that just about all burn downs are a result of air leaks or severely lean carb settings. Even with really lean carb settings its tough to burn a saw down.

You left out operator error ,some people should not be around 2 strokes.

So let me ask a question That I’m sure has been brought up more than a few times elsewhere how important is the flash point of an oil. I’m running Amsoil saber at 40 to 1 contemplating going to something with the higher flashpoint like Motul 800 2t. I’ve never had a problem so I should probably just leave well enough alone I just think it’s interesting

Motul 800 doesn’t burn very well in a saw

I think the Klotz Benol would do better with high heat.
