Here's the situation-
You're in a small town, situated next to a major highway, 80 miles from a city.
It's 25 degrees, windy and snowing. You pull into a gas station and see a young white girl, late teens or early 20's, wearing a short sleeveless dress, with no coat, pumping gas into a pos car containing two early 20's, gangsta wanna be looking black guys wearing down coats. The driver is yelling at the girl, using very derogatory language, telling her to hurry the f'up.
It's deer season and you're well armed, long gun and side arm.
What do you do?

This is nothing uncommon
I agree and normally, I wouldn't have given it a second thought. What bothered me was the girl not wearing a coat. Both of the male occupants had heavy down coats and the girl was wearing what amounted to a long T shirt.
I pulled up to the adjacent pump. As I was fueling, I asked the girl if she needed help. She ignored me and after finishing fueling, they left.
I just don't get it.

At least you asked and gave her the opportunity to level with you. Probably not much more you could do without assuming more going on than what actually was, I guess.

Sounds like a possible victim of human trafficking.

I've read the pamphlets since this the line of work my wife is in as a crisis case manager.

From the lack of proper clothing to not acknowledging you shes been trained.

Unless she makes a move there isnt a thing you can do.

I understand your feeling (at least I think I do). My answer would not be 'politically correct' here. Things like this pull at me. But I'll keep it all to myself.

That makes me feel horrible.

Some people hit a point of no return. At my wifes job they had relocated a lady who's husband was knocking her out and making videos of her with random people.

They bring her back to testify in court and she no shows and ends up back with him after the state has to release him because she didn't testify.

It's sad and scary that things can turn out so bad for some people. But, nobody can help those that refuse it.
As a father of 2 girls, I am fully prepared to do time if required on behalf of them.
Much like @stihl_head1982 thats about all I can say on that subject.

I feel that sentiment entirely.

My opinion would not be welcome here!
