Finally had a good day weather wise and a day away from work. Had a tree fall next to the road night before last and another dead oak to drop for Pop's fire wood. Fresh fuel and 40:1 oil mixed up the other day. Used in my blower no issues. Fuel and oil up the 346, fired up, warmed up, loaded in the loader and went down to cut the tree up that fell. Ran great for 10 min and quit, it would start back with 1 pull and as soon as you hit the throttle it would die. Back to the house and got out the 351 and it ran okay go figure. came back up to house and droop the oak with a 2071 that I just put a new top end on (wiped out due a bad crank seal). Started up and idled great, would rev up fine but after several long cuts it would die after you let off the throttle. I have come to the conclusion that chain saws hate me. both saws pressure and vacuum tested fine and have new carbs, new NGK plugs, same gas as blower, 371, 351. I'm thinking fuel related / carburetors. I didn't bring the big boys out today but they hate me as well.

If you own many saws...eventually this type of thing will happen...it seems like always at least one saw that needs some bugs worked out...if not several! Lol I am about to ask for advice on my 036 pro..driving me nuts....at least a little bit!

I have a problem, 10 saws and don't even heat with wood. If it doesn't rain any more today, I'm going to get the Jonsered 2071 dialed in. Still have at least 2 truck loads of oak to buck up. I'm not against Stihls, I just have better luck finding Husqvarnas. Dolmars are rare around here.

I'd dump the fuel in saws & container maybe into that 4stroke mower that refuses to die, get some new fresh mix and see if that helps. Maybe take a sneek peek at the pistons too. Kinda sux when they all give you grief at the same time, that damn Murphy.

OK, Im gonna be the Jackass today and say....try re-tuning them before you go too far up a rabbit hole. I find when a major weather "change" has occurred some fine tuning is usually in order. IF you haven't run them since maybe...the summer, well then by golly get the orange STIHL screw driver out. Don't try a stupid "HUSKY" screw driver because they don't "fix" so good. and the bottom end of the husky driver is no good.... :) screw like hell but just don't last.... :)

Hop on Craigslist and pick up a farmBOSS. They run about 400$ used with a 2 or 3 foot arm and sharp blade. I heard you can run a even larger blade than that too. They run like a bat out of hell and it says magnum on it too to prove it. I run mine with a 162se handlebar and big dogs like the real loggers run. It always starts even if it takes 20 pulls sometimes but I talk nice to it and she fires up. You can push as hard as you want on it and it’ll never stall, just screams. Best dam saw money will buy.

I was going to suggest tuning, especially if the temp changed, but @angelo c beat me to it. I have had the same thing happen, and it is usually a small adjustment and they are back up and running.

I would more than happy, to have another saw but I'm starting to run out of room. only have 12x16 shed /workshop/ storage area and already have 11 saws.
Slacker....put those saws to work and build another "warm cozy place" for more saws...sheesh some people just don't get it.... :)

Maybe the crappy fuel hose on the 346 is cracked/pin hole. The oem don't last very long.
