FYI, our bike paths are a tremendous resource, but they have young riders, people walking dogs, women pushing strollers, roller bladders, etc. The are "leisurely" and they don't want competitive bikers on them. I confirmed that at the traffic safety board meeting (a representative from the bike path was there). Besides, if we all went to the bike path, we would choke it out to everyone else. The bike path is where I take my dogs and my Grand Kids.

Bikers are supposed to stay to the right, they are not supposed to ride on the shoulder, as there is a lot of glass + debris on the shoulder and riding there would be dangerous. Vehicles are required to pass when it is safe, and provide a safe distance (often defined a 3-4 feet).

The reason I sometimes confront people is two fold. One, it gets it out of my system, I only do it when they are way out of line (which, unfortunately is too often) and two, on 3 or 4 occasions people have apologized to me and stated they will my more careful next time. I also think I woke up a few others who did not say anything. When you get in someone's face, you become a person, not a bike. When you add that some of your friends have been killed and that you don't intend to be one of them, it wakes some of them up.

Some people really don't know the rules, others are just jerks who presume you won't do anything. There should be more public education and enforcement. I have volunteered to ride with cameras if they would do anything with it. They won't.

Oh yea, I like Amsoil Saber at 40:1 !!!
I'd like to see bike riders pay registration & 3rd party insurance to share the roads. At present without any licence plate they are free to break any road rules they see fit. They certainly don't like stopping at red lights. If they want the same rights on the road as car/truck users, they can pay for them and start being accountable for their actions & behavior.

Once again you are pooling all bicycle riders together. One bad apple shouldn't spoil the whole tree.
If you get one bad gun owner to go rogue, do you want all the guns to be he taken from law abiding gun owners?
We gotta get by this.
Pics of you n yer cycle??

I used a bunch of that stuff years ago until I discovered it was terrible from a corrosion standpoint. Do a little digging on it and you will see.
Yeah I heard that too if left to sit in the saw or not flushing it out before storage.
Timber fallers working in rain on the coast or in powder snow in arctic central regions is corrosive to the piston's intake skirt and cylinder wall too.

Road taxes are basically based on vehicle weight and their expected wear and tear on the road. I have seen numerous truck ruts in the road, but never a bike one, but I will keep looking. FYI, the law says we can ride on any road that is not an interstate or a parkway. I pay more than my share of taxes, so I will not be intimidated from doing something that is legal. Licensing has always been for motorized vehicles, never self propelled. Next you will want a license to walk or run along the road!

I always thought redline 2t was formulated like a tcw3 oil....? Also ive ran some makita synthetic. I thought it was a good oil for the case i ran. Ran many many gallong of amsoil saber outboard in skis. Interceptor in sleds and professional in aircooled stuff. Only oil i hated was ultra and super s multi mix. All else has been good
