Not yet, it was missing the bottom aluminum tank handle skid plate, WC cover and the full tank of fuel.

Can someone please post a comparison, regardless of its validity to others? I personally would like to see comparatively what the difference in power is for the powerheads for the weight difference. If a 462 was significantly lighter and was only a little behind a 7900 or 372, that's something I could deal with. That IS a determining factor for me if it's a tool that's going to live in my hands and make me money.

Just my personal thoughts.

It is way lighter.
With what you are asking for I think you would be a good candidate for it.
I'd feel the same way if I did more tree work, whats 1200 in comparison to what I'd make.
As it is most of the work I've done this yr didn't even require a 70cc saw, last year was a different story.
I've already got a bunch of 70cc saws stock and ported so I'll be fine until you guys do all the beta testing for me.

But what did the air filters look like....
That's funny stuff there.
Did you notice the stihl had a 25" bar on it lol.

All three look great to me.
I've never held a 70cc saw that was lighter, but there are so many other factors that come to mind for me.

My 7900 with a few basic mods any idiot could do was a tick faster than a well ported 460 fooling around at a gtg. That opened my eyes. I doubt a 462 or 572 is faster. It is kind of unfair from a displacement standpoint to compare them however. The dolkitas are decievingly fast. They feel slow because they are so smooth, but the cut times showed otherwise for me. But what do I know? I could be wrong. Lol

Oh boy. There you go again.
Fumes must have gotten to you.

Stihl casts the cases for them I think. So don’t worry it’s within the brotherhood. Lol

We'll set the record straight hext time we meet up.

It was another 460 20” oak I believe

He is referring to mine Mike. But he is a little confused.

Some people force there opinions on others and I just like to put my opinions out there and people can find out for themselves if it’s true or not.

Hmmmm. [emoji848]

Don't need it.

Keep in mind my 7900 isn’t even ported. It has nothing to prove or loose against a ported saw of similar size. Especially considering I didn’t run the same b/c as the 460. It was unscientific gtg fun.

Not ported, but not stock either Mason. Next time we meet up we will clear the air.
Your 7900 was fast and strong, but not as fast as my MOFO 460.
I think you know that too.
Just be realistic snd don't mislead here.

I guess we will find out for real next time

We kinda already did, but we will again for sure!

I swear to God that I've never wanted a ban hammer this bad since Al Gore invented the internet.

@Jon1212, can I borrow your hammer?? Pretty pretty please... I just need it for like 5 minutes...

You know this reminds me of the 395 vs 661 deal. Welp I bought a Masterminded 661 after running one. At the gtg I tested it against my 395 in the same wood with two 32" 105 chains brand new. I ran the 661 first and thought wow! That'll be hard to beat. It took about 2 seconds in the wood with my 395 to realize that just because you have ran a saw many many times, unless you have the same chain, at the same time running back to back you really don't know which one is faster. I can honestly say that the 395 seemed a class above. It is what it is

And then you hit some metal and all that time gained from ported power is lost.

A 395 is a boat anchor compared to a 661, and stock they don't impress me. Ported is a different story, but I have also seen some real strong ported 661s.

Not all ported saws are created equal, even by the same builder. And sometimes conditions change, one saw likes hard wood, another soft, or hot temps, or cold, or long bar vs short bar, etc etc.

Bottom line, if you have a saw that runs good for what it is, that should be fine. My 044 will not run with a well ported hybrid, but it runs real good with a 20" bar on it, and the Strong Hybrids get 28" bars.

For me, a ported 372 or Hybrid is about the best all around saw … they both have great power to weight and great cut speed. Others may prefer larger saws, while others prefer 60 or 50 cc saws. That is fine. Use what works for you.

If you take 6 ported 661s and 6 ported 395, it is unlikely that either brand will win each race, an there is no shame in owning the slowest of the batch, as long as it is a competitive performer.

Have a good evening guys.

I enjoy reading all these posts. Have always been a husky man! 3,72's mainly. I have to make a living with my saws in the timber. When a person has saws and parts that are interchangeable it it's easier to stay with one brand. I think whichever one chooses should be alright equipment. Everybody be safe and enjoy what they are running!
