Not ported, but not stock either Mason. Next time we meet up we will clear the air.
Your 7900 was fast and strong, but not as fast as my MOFO 460.
I think you know that too.
Just be realistic snd don't mislead here.

You know this reminds me of the 395 vs 661 deal. Welp I bought a Masterminded 661 after running one. At the gtg I tested it against my 395 in the same wood with two 32" 105 chains brand new. I ran the 661 first and thought wow! That'll be hard to beat. It took about 2 seconds in the wood with my 395 to realize that just because you have ran a saw many many times, unless you have the same chain, at the same time running back to back you really don't know which one is faster. I can honestly say that the 395 seemed a class above. It is what it is

We will settle it lol @huskyboy send me your address and I'll send you my ported 7900 Makita sometime if you want to try it. I ported it myself so it may not be the strongest example but I feel it's a good example

Both running 32:1 with the same oil too I hope lol.
I do agree. Running a saw that is smooth will deceive you.

Bigger saw. One mtronic, one regular carbed.
Hooskies are just inherently a tad faster.
395s are very, very strong. No doubt about it. [emoji106]
I’ll sell you a 162se handlebar for a 661 then it’ll be faster
