When checking the squish on a saw is it best to check with the rings on the piston or does it matter
Don't really matter but I do it with out and I stick fore pesses on the piston with grease and put the cylinder on then check squish that why but that's how I do it some other have there own way.

My dad found one [emoji115]in the scrap steel pile at the trash dump facility. I thought to myself when he was describing it that there is no way it’s ok. I was wrong. It fired and ran perfect on the third pull. 200t’s are amazing for their size.

I wish I could be so lucky lol a buddy of mine found a good ms440 magnum in a scrap pill a year ago I took it all apart and found that all it needed was a decomp and that was it. I told him that he just scored a $800 saw for $20 he looked at me and said I was full of crap until I fired it up then he just stood there like a dear in the head lights. I wish I could be so lucky!!!

Nice 1 owner 025. Clutch bearing or pieces no where to be found. Pulled pieces of 2 retainers stuck into the plastic case.
Just hope the oil pump still works once all the parts come in.

Was working on a 461 that got crushed, needed a new tank, wrap handle and brake flag, got oem wrap and brake flag, but a China tank. Put a new meteor piston in and did a minor muffler mod along with pulling the limiter caps on the carb. Got it all back together and went to fire it up....it would idle on full choke and when switched to idle it would rev to the moon and die!?! So it put another carb on same problem...decided to do a pressure/vac test and the decomp leaked a far bit, so I replaced it...same problem running issue!! Checked new pre installed fuel line and

Massive hole!!!!!! Omg! Thank you China! Lol

Running great now!!

No, well not without a crazy amount of work

Has anyone done it? What is a “crazy amount of work”? I assume it will be p/c, entire intake track/carb. The piston/cyl compatibility with the 660 case is my concern. This is more curiosity than necessity.

Totally different design

It’s just not worth the effort in my book, the cases would need tons of work, and bore and stoke are different

Thank you. I understood the 661 was strato design but wasn’t clear on the design differences. Thank you for taking the time to findthose pics and post them.

A bit of fuel experimentation.

This is an attempt of mixing 50% Nitro (20% cast0r/30% methanol) with 32:1 mix. 50cc of each.

Not sure what makes up the supernatent. Will retry with 100% Nitro when it arrives for Science.

Have you ever used any aviation fuel... Just curious I know where I could get a couple gallons for free 100 octane leaded. Would it be worth fooling with?

I've had leaded fuel deposits bridge the sparkplug gap. I tried 110 octane race fuel while looking for an alternative to the *s-wordty pump gas that was available. Only had it happen in one saw so it coulda been a freak thing....
