Holy sheet man!

Apparently I broke my little toe this morning. It hurt but not that bad. Didn't know the extent until I just took my socks off for a shower :(

Built a new hearth pad for our new stove. Its bigger than the old and I guess I'm not used to it. Kicked it this morning getting ready for work.

Lol! It's not much pain actually, looks worse than it feels. Maybe a 4 on the pain scale, and I'm known for exaggerating stuff(ask my fiancee)
My back still hurts more from when I threw it out Sunday moving the new stove in!

Worked with my brother (he is a PE) on another one of his near impossible jobs.

The footings on this 30' high deck were failing because it is on a steep slope and the previous contractor did not go down to bedrock, which is 10' below the bottom of the steel post. We removed the existing 24" X 8' concrete pier on Monday with a TS 400 and a Hammer Drill (in jack hammer mode).

Can't get heavy equipment close, or it will all come tumbling down (the retaining wall and previous piers are all failing), so we did it all by hand, dough it out, drilled the bedrock (6 - 25" holes for the rebar) and transported all the 80lb bags of concrete from the front of the house, to the back, down a steep slope.

Yea, just a few scraps of plywood being held by some rebar (bending) and a chain is all that kept the earth from coming in on us.

Just 3 of us (a 24 year old) helped my brother 64 and I 66, we worked hard from 7:30 am till 5:00pm, but we got it done!

That is my brother's large Milwaukee Hammer Drill down in the hole in the last pic.

The 24 year old plays semi pro ball and is in great shape, but we are both older than his Dad, and he can't get over that we both can work with him all day long. He's a good kid, and it was great to have him on the job.

Last day of robot operation training today.

We are checking out of the hotel this AM, take the last training course and then head back home in the PM - it's going to be a long day.
Training is in Slovenia, home is in Croatia, 3+ hour drive traffic dependant.

Based on what you've learned, are the robots going to be able to do the grinding you need them to?

I don't really know.
The training was based on general robot operation and programing.
The robot will only be a part of the entire grinding cell, as such additional training for operation of the entire cell will be required.
I don't even know how the entire cell will look like as I wasn't present during the purchase negotiations.

General consensus is that the two ordered cells will work as hoped for parts that require rather simple processing but are produced in large quantity.
Potential future upgrades and cells customized more toward our requirements are supposedly an option according to the cell supplier "MAUS".

Broke the truck twice this morning. Yesterday the batteries seemed low from sitting when I started it. Put the small charger on overnight. Ten amp auto off on twin batteries. Today, nothing. Grab the volt meter 10.5 volts. Another great *f-wording charger. Three went in the last five years. Drag out the old dead one from the nineties and clean it up. Off we go, not. Checked the main cable bolt and it went. Then I lost the nut to the second battery unhooking it to check them individually. Gone gone. Must be in the front cross member

Installed a new coil in my Brother's TS 400. It would run well, till you shut it off, then would not start again till it cooled down. I'm just guessing it was the coil, hope I was right. Saw cuts well when it runs, but a PITA when it won't re start.

If anyone has any experience with this issue with these saws, please share.

Could be the coil. Could also be a carb issue if fuel is leaking past the needle valve, it will flood it. Guess some additional use will let you know if you fixed the right thing.

Usually when it leaks fuel like that it is much harder to pull over (hydro lock). No sign of that.

Today was a bust. The mill had issues but I'll get there. Burnt a bar but not bad damage. Testing unknown saws is always fun with modded parts. Had big trouble with the mill but, it just got back from the machine shop :) all better now.
Did not break any recoils today :D
Debating on 8" or 10" post for a building or just peel some sassafrass poles. That saves more wood for post and beam imo. The weather is very nice now. Fans on windows open. Long week :laufband:

Cut up a fallen ash from just down the road. Realized I should do something to keep up my splitting strength. I wore myself out with the X27, it was some tough limby stuff! It stacked to just under half of a face.
It must have been standing dead for a while

Had our town fair today. Was in the parade with atv. Were trying to get our town to pass the bylaw to be able to ride them leagaly so got a few guys togeather to ride in it.
Then hung out at fair most the day.
Got a start at shingling my 12x12 shed.
Then went.to my grandparents to play cards. Now ready for bed.

Oh and we even got 3rd place with the little float for the parade.
