60" is no joke. Very cool Mike!

It’s a lot like real work. When the saw is eye level and you still have to go to the other side to finish the cut with a 42”. Longest bar I have any more is the 34”. If I can’t get it with that then we’ll noodle or just let it rot

You cut that in Kansas?

Here’s a good sized oak. About the last tree I cut up early this year or late last year.

Gotta be some kind of fix for that Heath. I thought they made springs in different flexes? Soft, medium and stiff???

Sorry about your luck, but there is already a saw named Popcorn owned by the farmer of lead. You'll have to go with Jiffy or Orville:D

Soft Springs.

That’s the only Meh for me.

I wish it had Springs stuff as a 2 ton Studebaker.

The rest is golden.
That’s one of the meh for me too. Stiffer springs /better filter seal would be simple for stihl to do as a upgrade to the saw. Maybe a stronger av limiter pocket too.

Just thinking outside the box here. Could one adapt the Hooskie springs to the Stihl?
Should be good for a tenth in the cut, no?

Probably not. The only reason it's this far north from Texas was for its use as wind breaks after the dust bowl years. You can cut it and stick it right in the ground for fence posts, the chit just wont rot.
You need black locust around here for ground contact. Heart wood only.
Not any hedge or orange around here.

@Redbull661 Tightening your clutch again? Mine was a *b-word to get off after running that 40 full comp in big pin oaks.

This one be the Southern R&D Popcorn variety.

Rodidney’s is more Transcendental in the Mathematical terms.

You know, it made no sense.
