Of course, the first day I took the MMWS 346 at work, I got a big butted black spruce like this one :BangHead:View attachment 139414
She done good though. Our Manitoba black spruce don't get no where near that size but our white spruce do.

Did you swing that tree with a dutchmen?

Biggest diameter I ever cut was a 67” maple that was left ravaged after a big storm. I used my ms390 and burned it for two years. I found lots of cool stuff in that tree, including a railroad spike that was driven to the center by the Colfax tornado in 1958. No pictures of the tree, but I do have a video of my stihl making chips in a small piece of it.

I felled this big old 90 ft cottonwood for my son in law a while back.
Just enough room with a few feet to spare between his house and powerlines.
His brother who is a linesmen lowered the tri plex powerline to the house for me.
Had a good audience....about 30 of his buddies and neighbors with cameras ready, Lol.
