So that part number he posted is the same molding number. As the one cover I have that will not bolt up.
The other one I have with the right bolt pattern but broken. Has a number 5034168 on it.

I think I have a 625 with a 1 piece coil.
They show 2 different part numbers for the 625 & 670 but they both use the same cases.
So I have no idea what the difference is.
Different air filter cover part #'s also.

Internet.
Not many 2 series left here.

Is the top cover the same number?
Do the air filter covers swap?
Yes those share the same top cover and the AF can swap. If you look in the pic of mine at Steve's it has that sloped back cover on it.

I wonder if you could graft that back piece of the wrong one on to the needed one and then reinforce it some how on the inside.

If you used some of the material for filler rod it could be welded but would be able to see those welds. One of these things will turn up shortly I'm thinking.

I hope one turns up.

And I was thinking about if you glued it together then cut some strips out of the old cover to weld to the back side of the seam might work. That way you'd just have a thin line on the out side.

It might be. I do know the 272 spark plug stands up straighter, and won't fit under the early 61 top covers. But a 670 cylinder will fit under a 625 top cover and filter cover

Well...if I had the juice of a 272, I'd stand up straigher too. Lol
