No worries Wilhelm. Same here. Just a firewood guy. Although I do prefer Stihl, I like any saw that runs strong and to its potential.
Good videos. [emoji481]

I was hoping to see a full house chain video. Did Nate ever get that thing sent over to you? Glad to see you are doing well.

Hi J.

No, the loop should still be at Nate's.
I realize he might be pressed for time with seasonal work so I'm not about to bother him with it.

I do occasionally re-post Your pictures of the Full House EXL just to stir the pot, responses are generally good. :)

How are You doing, and how are Your two Dolmar's?
I hope good on both.

I have been doing well. My 5100 is doing good. My 9000 is waiting on a carb kit. The carb had a blown check valve. So I have not been using it at all. We have had a lot of rain this year and really slowed us down on work we can get done. Still on a pulp logging job that should have been done months ago. Hope to get back to hand falling timber next month. The tract has some nice oak and poplar. Should be some long bar work for the 9000.

I hope You get some satisfactory Dolmar PS-9000 long bar action soon! :)

As You can see by my video's I'm having fun with my Dolmar's.
My PS-6400 & PS-7900 are generally fine.
My PS-7300 needs the carb limiters pulled as she's running a bit lean after the muffler mod.
My PS-7310 is a hoot, just awesome fun, but running the 36" B&C setup revealed clutch slippage. I already replaced the drum which was black from slippage due to previous owners abuse, but it is best if I also replace the weights/shoes. I'll also have to check all the AV springs as she feels a little bit sloppy.

Just have a look at the clutch shoes as long as they are still flat or just some slight grooving they should be just fine. I have seen the hub/spider that the shoes attach to get worn that will result in a sloppy clutch. Make sure you have good clutch springs as well. Nice and tight. What tooth count sprocket are you running when using the 36" bar? Skip tooth chain? May help with over working the clutch.

Both, my PS-7300 and PS-7310 were in bad shape when I purchased them.
AV springs broken, handles bent, clutches blue & black from slippage.
The clutch on my PS-7300 was so bad I swapped the whole thing out with new.
I thought I could get by with only replacing the drum on my PS-7310, but it's not worth it - I'll replace the shoes too, already placed the assy into my shops cart.

I only use 7 tooth sprockets no matter the B&C setup I'm running.
In hardwood (oak) 8 tooth won't take a proper bite, at least that's how it feels like to me.
On my 36" B&C setup I run full complement (non-skip), but I made a hillbilly skip tooth loop by cutting off every third cutters top plate. I kept the cutters side plates to act as scoring teeth.

Sounds like a good plan on the 7310. Did you notice the saw being able to keep up better in the cut by removing the top plate? Seems that leaving the side plate would still have drag.

I don't really know, never payed attention to it.
I have a stock 115DL loop, so I could compare it to my hillbilly skip tooth loop if desired.

Yes, the"scoring teeth" will have drag, but they should no longer actively engage the wood.
I liked the idea of leaving them so that they, in theory, help clearing the chips.
I file them too as I file the other teeth, thus they should always stay a little bit shorter than the other teeth and in turn cause less drag.
Look at it like this:
- The scoring teeth should help carrying the chips out of the cut, they will cause drag but less than a full tooth. They should also no longer actively cut wood.
- On a regular skip tooth one has only half the cutters, as such each cutter is (in theory) left with carrying twice the amount of chips out of the cut due to the larger clearance between the individual teeth. While the cutter carry the chips through the cut the chips get "compacted" which in turn makes them resist movement thus causing drag.
It is basically a trade off, making a full complement loop less aggressive should work just as well as a skip tooth loop.

I don't really use my 36" B&C setup much, definitely insufficiently to worry about chip clearance.
The hillbilly skip tooth modification was more "play" than anything else.

My PS-7900 will pull a stock 115DL loop perfectly fine in oak.
I'd have to try and compare it against my other saws.

It would be very interesting to see a chain going threw a cut up close and slowed way down to see how the chips flow behind the tooth.

Dolmar PS-7310 and fairly worn Dolmar 099 chain (Oregon 73LGX).
The chain is mildly customized, ground rivet heads, reshaped rakers.
20" 3/8" B&C setup.

Two cuts show self feeding capabilities and I think those two cuts were the fastest.

Hmm, I have no female viewers, I wonder why!?

You Americans better push those watch buttons more often or the combined eastern Europe will surpass Your watch count and knock You off the first place. :p

I have the most views on my Stihl Rapid Duro 3 & Dolmar PS-7900 video, yet merely a single like on the same.
Poland is leading ahead of Germany and the US in terms of views.

These YouTube channel analytics are interesting.
I wonder what I'm doing wrong getting so little likes though.

As always, thanks to everyone who subscribed to my channel. :)

Nice videos and yes that axe is impressive. I get registered or whatever on YouTube and will give some likes. The chickens caught my eye in a couple of the videos. They may not be yours, however they look good health and of some type with feathers on the legs (or at least the white one).
@Gizzard , this one is for You as You have asked about them. :)

We are down to two of them being pure bred, my parents want to increase the flock with fresh blood.
The hen (gray) stopped laying eggs over a year ago.
The white hen we had died of age this year. :(
The prancing white one in the video is the cock!

@Wilhelm, thanks for another video on the chickens. Sometimes watching the chickens can be more entertaining than what's on television. I had liked some of the chainsaw videos last year. Wife has took the home computer and moved it into her business shop. I'll have to get her login for youtube and get back to the videos or just create myself a login account.
