Been thinking about a bigger saw and am sorely tempted to get one of the Huztl 660 kits. Then I picked up an 066 carcass, which got me thinking. How interchangeable are the 066 and 660? Can I pull some "good bits" off my junk 066 for my Asian lady build? Or am I just going to end up building TWO saws???

Wow, that is in rough shape. The newer round top 066 and the 660 are fully interchangeable, but judging from the cap, that looks like an old saw (flat top?).

I think some of them had different cases, etc, but I'm not sure.

I think the P+C and some other stuff should be compatible.

We need to hear from someone more knowledgeable than me.

Good eyes. Just went out and checked and it is indeed an 064 (52mm).

Guess my build path just changed...

Should be a fun build. I bet it will clean up nice. Looks like it has low hours too, almost no scrench woller on the fuel cap.

I built a similar basket case over the winter, I ran into one interchangeability problem. If you decide to run a 660 muffler you'll need one of these:

Let us know how it goes.

660 muffler fits without that spacer the only time you need that my spacer is with a honeycomb 064 early muffler. Both my 064s have 660 mufflers and no spacers

064 and 066 short Case share same tank same crank same air filter housing , filter base. And air filter cover. 660 is different tank, plastics, air filter base, crank , and flywheel then 066, 064 and 066 also have diff flywheelss from each other, oilers and ..vibe bushings. Brake flag will interchange from 066 and 660 064 has diff flag all together starter interchange from 660 and 066 but 064 is diff recoil all together as well

Good info.
Mine needed the spacer, I'm running an AM 660 muffler. I've only owned this one though.

I wanna expand on this spacer thing to prevent confusion.

If you try to bolt a muffler on an 064 and you end up with a gap between the muffler and the bottom of the exhaust flange you need a spacer.

The part number is 1122 145 1200
