We need a jig at work to help with sharpening mower blades. I've looked at the yellow hornet and like the design but I'm not taking the grinder guard off due to safety.

Just something that will help hold the blade in a vise would be fine.

I tote them off to work and use a big grinder .Besides that I don't get paid to sharpen my blades at home .Plus more times than not they need some work on the arbor press .Damned Toro high lifts aren't built real sturdy, they bend .

It depends...... just looking to touch up the edge or grind back a nice smooth edge on a blade that looks like they tried to mow a chain link fence. For a really chewed up blade i start with my version of the yellow hornet and a very aggressive flap disk then finish on the Bradley S90. If the customet hasnt trashed the blade i just use the Bradley blade grinder. If i had more room in the shop i would get a belt grinder. I use a Tecomec balancer.

Not really a pro setup but what i use in my shop. I built the blade cleaner and the grinder is a Bradley S90. The blade shows the finish off the Bradley20180612_204015.jpg
