Where: Quality Tree Farm, 7279 Smith Road, Chambersburg, PA, 17202
within about 5 minutes of Route 76 and Route 81 intersection

When: June 2nd and possibly 3rd

Who: anybody and everybody who likes Chainsaws and cutting down trees :)

Please express your interest in the Poll to help with food planning etc, dont vote if you are too much of a sissy girl to attend :)

So our good buddy @leadfarmer (Rodney, Rodididney, RoRo) has a local friend who has a commercial 40 acre Christmas tree farm that needs some non-pine falling and bucking.

He wants to judge interest for a GTG on June 2nd, could even be a 2 day if guys are interested.
Farm has plenty of parking and porta johns, and skid steers, gators etc for the heavy lifting.
He is thinking if guys are into it he can get a pig or a bunch of chickens for the grill.
Camping onsite is fine, there is a gun range there if guys want to spend some time shooting as well.
There will probably be a Woodmizer onsite and I can bring a pair of 070s with 36" mills as well as a 70" mill with double 090 power heads.
About 15 large Maples up to 30" diameter surrounding a small house that is going to be demolished so if you ever wanted to drop a tree on a house, this is your chance.

None of the trees grew square but it sounds like we can make a few cants pretty easy and I'll bring my stand if guys feel like racing or comparing saws, heck i can bring identical chains and the same bar in different mounts if guys feel like measuring thier wangs, er uhm comparing cut speed :)

Stock saws, ported saws and loud saws of all brands and models and vintages are welcome. Trunks to tips it sounds like there is stuff for everyone to cut.

If any climbers would like to demonstrate stuff that would be awesome as well.

All the wood will be donated to the local widow lady who needs firewood each year.
Rodney's Logger Buddy can also bring some really big wood for the size queens to cut :)
Fun, Drama-Free cutting, eating and bullshitting.

I'd like to attend, boss is out of the country that weekend and I committed to covering the shop till 1pm. Sun is free so will have to see how it pans out.
Your close enough to come on over after work. Of course you can always have a belly ache that morning or the Raging shatts. [emoji23]
