Really? maybe folks ain't looking at it correctly.....thats at least a 13" rim on that trailer, so the tires are at least 28" probably closer to 28" and those rounds in the center of the trailer are just several inches bigger than the tire..... that would definitely go in the GTG category to me...thats a good chunk of wood in each round. I could roast a lot of pecans and walnuts over that *s-word.....

Speaking of nuts. Whoever is on that ladder has some nuts the size of my big pecan rounds. I tried that once (going up a ladder to trim limbs), got about 10 ft. and started shaking...got my feet back on the ground and called a tree service. Nice job on the take down.

That Japanese elm reminds me of sycamore around here. Is it the devil to split?

LOL.
That is the way I operate. I do everything by hand. Uplifts and prunings. I am a one man low budget operation.
Looking for a decent bucket truck though.

we all took turns :) we tie the ladder at the base, then about 30 foot up we tie it off again. But in honesty it helps that the two youngs guys are both Japanese firefighters...... those dudes and ladders are a trip. just google japanese firefighter races on you tube.... we also tie in as soon as we get up.

When fresh cut you can split it by hand except for any crotches or areas where limbs come out. once it has dried any it can be a bit of a pain as its real stringy. Ibuilt a hydraulic splitter two years ago due to I am too damn lazy these days.

The tailgate did. I shoulda put one of these on a long time ago.
I work from this truck every day, and I need to be able to reach over the sides to get tools out. I have 2x12's in the garage that I can add to it but I don't really need to haul more than that at a time anyway. About the time I get that truck full I'm ready to go home
