Old Hickory butcher knife I turned into a spear point inspired by Horace Kepart many years ago. Got this old butcher at a yard sale with tip broken off View attachment 112729View attachment 112730
I got to handle the Horace Kephart that Ethan Becker has in his possession now. I have three other Kephart style knives, the most recent is the ESEE Camplore series PR4. Great knives. I am really trying not to purchase a James Gibson (Knob Creek Forge) modified Kephart.

thanks !
they look too nice to use but are built to be worked, hope to have some "work" pictures of them this weekend[/QUOTE

I have one new blade that I am not sure I will use right off. It is a Enko style trapper a fellow LEO forged for me. Great little Bushcraft blade, but I have plenty other Bushcraft blades to use and abuse!

It’s a time tested design. I’ve made a few based off that design always seem to be pretty popular with people.

Raining like the dickens up here, so I dug out some of my Randall's.

New knife. Made by Mike McCarter of House Mountain blades near Knoxville. Based on an Enko trapper. Made from O1 with a nice dangler sheath and ferro rod. View attachment 114309
Also a good looking knife. Does this maker have a website or anything. I like supporting local knife makers when I can.

Ka-bar sight shows one in a vid model 283 but I find nothing on webs. Thanks.DSCF2001.JPG
