Cinched bushings, crank sleeves, tiny o-rings...

I guess I really don’t speak Husky... (Not a dig, they just don’t pop up around these parts...)

Carry on, then!

Maybe with saws liks the 372 & 660 being copied & sold with complete parts availability, Hoosky & Stihl made slight thread changes on the 570-576 & 661 clutches so AM parts would not fit & work. Its the only logical reason for such parts madness!

Yes and no....the clutch holds that bushing tight. ...so...you can try testing it....but it won't be an accurate test...

Fyi....the 440 has basically the same setup

Ok so the truth is not properly. So the wrong clutch being not seated properly could very well have been the cause of the air leak. Hopefully it’s all good now!

That’s a shame on the buggered piston, sounded like you had a lot of time machining it.

Actually no it does not take me that long to cut a pop-up piston but I don't have the lathe at my house I have to go down to my folks place based on the fact that I still have a hundred and eighty-five pounds of compression maybe not all is lost but who knows
