Been thinking on this while reading a lot of yalls posts. If the answer is here on OPE I’ve missed it or haven’t come across it yet.

Anyway I was wondering where y’all get your angles or degrees from for a chain so you know where to set your grinder or file guide??

To start, the angle of the stock chain are on the box they come in. Then some of us experiment adjust from there.
Most is somewhere in the area of 30/30/10
Some find the 10 deg adjustment isn’t worth it. And on my round grinder I need to set the tilt to 60, which is equivalent to 30.

For full chisel, I set the grinder at 55-60 degrees, vise at 30-25, with the 10 agree tilt. That's on a Oregon 620
