Ok, who's made this mistake?

So, ran a freshly rebuilt 372 at Dan's this last weekend. Power was...eh....ok. Not great. gave out in the cut, wouldn't idle quite right. maybe airleak, who knows. carb is kitted, coil is oem, but used.

was having issues oiling too... so I may need to take it apart and investigate that.

did a comp reading.... 185. which is about where it started anyway. pulled the muff. starting to bugger the piston . :(

pressure test. holds pressure fine, but fails on vac. asdfjkl;asefo;ijaweo;fijawo;efijao;weifj

WRONG EFFING CLUTCH. the clutch goes on sloppy and tightens up, but is obviously not the right thread. wtf??? I don't know how did I didn't notice that when I was initially putting it together, but it didn't even occur to me that husky made an identical clutch with different thread.... WTF would they do that???? m15x1.25 vs m14x1.25 372? I spun another clutch on and the leak dissappeared.

I must have gotten a 576 clutch in a pile of parts and not noticed.

now I gotta get ANOTHER new piston and cut another popup. UGH.

KUDOs to CRAIG TIMMONS from my youtube channel for the idea that this is a 576 clutch!

the vac leak was considerable ....

and is either that, or the fuel line was nearly kinked in the airbox... that might not have helped

All I can add is when I tried to tune it, I couldn’t get it to hold tune. I wasn’t paying enough attention to know after you started messing with it. I know at one point you thought you had it then it just plain stopped dead in the cut on you.

I mailed a package last week here in Long Island to Queens (just 20 miles away). A week later and it still isn’t there. What’s up USPS???

Also, I recall the failed spring on my 372xp clutch looked nearly identical to the 576xp clutch spring, but was missing the little notches in the corner, causing it to sit cockeyed. The devil is in the details.

The dirty one is 372....and has smaller threads than the other.
