Just wondering if anyone is successfully or unsuccessfully heats with a very inefficient stove like me. I'll burn through all this oak by lunch tomorrow, it's stacked along the right side too. Just can't see it!

I've been looking at yours and I'm not sure how it works ?
Does it have a fan ? How do you dampen it ? If no fan built in have you tried pointed a fan at it to circulate air ? Or do you have ceiling fan/fans? So many questions.

I'd burn about 1/3 - 2/3 of that in my P.E. T-6 for the same time and have a cleaner flue in the process. BUT, the wood HAS to be properly dried (which we all knew it should be), and the air is a bit lacking for proper Hedge Combustion unless I mix softwood in with it. Its heat also significantly falls off when it gets down to coals as about 2/3 of the heat goes away.

Smoke dragons are still a quite valuable commodity.

Its cool for sure. It just eats my well seasoned split oak like its bacon:) we are warm, but it's gonna be some work to keep it fed! Recently purchased the house and the stove was already installed (and very well used)

I have a smoke box but I added secondary air injection. It added burn time and heat output.... I love it.

My air injection consists of a ceiling fan!.

Ideally, I'd like to have one of each. I'd replace my current stove with a CAT stove, as though they can be a P.I.T.A, they're incredibly miserly in consumption. Then have an older smoke dragon for hen the chips are down.
