Could do that too.... You been socking the fuel treatment to it??

I'd be more concerned with the fuel condition than the rattle rattle rattle after all this frigid weather..

Finally ordered a 28” Tsumura lite bar from Nate for my 288 this morning. Been talking about it since I got my saw done. It may have been an impulsive purchase that creates a little friction.:smiley_1140:. oh well, just more heat to keep the house warm...lol!

I bought that same bar, maybe created the same ‘friction ‘ but I really like it. I put it on the 288...but it’s really intended for my 390 that’s vacationing in NC withMr. @rattler. It’s my second Tsumura lite and they’ve become my favorite bars. Bet you’ll like it, especially on that super nice 288 you have!

Thanks man I’m sure I will like it:). This will be my 4th Tsumura bar, they’ve become my favorite. Just picked up a full comp chisel chain for when it arrives.

Heard they were discontinued because of failures in the bar themselves, not just the tips. @sawgarage may be able to shed some light here.

Thanks Ted... I have seen a few of these bars peel apart from stress... IE: (getting the bar stuck or pinched and trying to work it free. Seems the laminations (atleast on the small climbing saw bars) are thin enough to the point of not just bending, but twisting independently, almost using the adhesive gluing them together acting as a fulcrum along with the pinching tree/branch/pallet/neighbor (or cheating wife's) car, etc.

if they can't hold up to top handle use before pulling an AV out of the saw, well, maybe they need to go back to the drawing board.

For us saw nuts who don't reef on stuff when stuck, they're awesome...but we are NOT the majority. I'm glad I happened upon a lightly-loved TL 20" when I did... goes with the 562 nicely :)
