Won't fit on the bench, but its inspection time for the ol f-150. New upper and lower ball joints, rear pads and rotors. Then it needs tires$$

If you're going to drive fords, it's a good idea to invest in a good ball joint press. Thinking of getting a fuel m18 high torque impact but for now a breaker bar works just fine.

Dolmar PS-7300, oil pump, oil pump lines, chain brake assy, clutch assy.


Also removed broken off muffler bolt, luckily it didn't snap off flush.

Got an am clutch cover on this 272. Work ok...but the flag is too close to the top handle. ...looks like the top handle is in the proper position. ...so...

What do I do? Get an oem flag? 288 flag?

I think the 394/395 is the same handle as the 288/281

We don't see those saws in my part of the state's here in Stihl country.

Doing a muffler mod for my PS-7300.


I'm going with identical mods that I made on my PS-7900's muffler.

I am keeping the ability to use the stock spark arrestor screen and a stock look.

Currently on the bench is an 029 Super that is getting a Cross 390 cylinder and pop up piston. Forgot that the 390 has a decompression valve; waiting on the plug to delete it. This is the first of 3 that I am building like this; next is another 029 Super and then an MS290. I’ll do a build thread on the 290 and post it here when I do that one.

STUPID ME!!! I got a Chinese 660 running last week, motor sounded great, but it did not oil!!!

So I finished up the next one, and same result! Then I started thinking about it. These 660s drink a lot, so I just put about 1/3 tank of fuel in em, in case there is carb trouble you don't want a full tank. (The first one I built the valve had to be adujsted).

So I did the same on the oiler side ... BIG MISTAKE!!! As I thought about it, I realized the oiler probably needs to be primed, like an old water pump, so the tank needs to be near full for it to work the first time.

That was it ... both oilers work ... I feel foolish.

On the bright side, both saws are done and ready to go, with Cross MMWS P+Cs. They both sound real good, can't wait to get them into some wood.
