I found a non cat muffler in my echo stash and pulled limiters. Will final tune tomorrow. Runs great. Has very little run time. Pulled recoil cover and it was clean under it. Might even have original chain

Yes, they are convertible. However, the last gear assembly unit I saw for this series went for $250.
Buddy of mine just brought that exact same saw into work to tinker with the other day. Was even in the same carry case!

Nice find Mike! How ya been?Just got this out of the scrap dumpster. 52" 1488 hours stuck exhaust valve bent push rod and main seal leaks. Not too shabby for free and they even let me use the forklift! I now have the wheels back on it.

That's what I said lol Piston and cylinder look good....gonna go with a set of rings for sure. Really happy it has the 36" roller nose to.
